I WOULD NEVER BUY MY KITCHEN @ MEDA-KUECHEN AGAIN! In the end the kitchen was okay, but the process to it was ridiculous and the final straw was drawn after they didn't keep a promise they made.

Summary:

Meda-kuechen said everything will be taken care of for the kitchen montage, and not too long after paying the deposit I suddenly had to pay for a lift to get the kitchen plate unharmed inside otherwise it would be sawn in half, I agreed on it. On the day of placement, I was intimidated because I had to let the lift also suddenly be used for the entire kitchen and had to pay for it myself. Which wasn’t part of any agreement. The workers thought it was arranged so they were angry with me, I let them use the lift for the entire kitchen in the end. Meda-kuechen didn't communicate this right.

Then we found out they didn’t give me the right paperwork to finish the plumbing/ electricity, later on there seemed to be forms they failed to give me about the entry points for electricity and plumbing. They couldn't finish the kitchen that day.

Before this happened, they refused to mail me the paperwork instructions again to check if what I had was correct since the plumber and electrician asked for it. They BOTH (not knowing each other) said it wasn’t a clear drawing where everything exactly had to be. Meda-kuechen told me I had it all and denied sending it again, they told me the plumber and electrician would know. They did what normally should be right according to Dutch terms.

There was an agreement made I would fix a plumber problem for 200, - discount, the entry point of the waterpipes had to be adjusted and then the entire plumbing could be installed. Meda-kuechen would only install it. I could let the plumber only adjust the entry point and let Meda-kuechen install it later or install the whole thing. Meda-kuechen told me to use the 200, - to do the whole thing so they didn’t get extra transport expenses, that was the deal. It cost me 350, - in the end and after months they didn’t keep their promise and forced me to pay the 200, - back.

While the kitchen cabinets were being placed they crushed a kitchen plate to put it behind the cabinet so it would fit better, even though you could see it clearly underneath and from the side, this is something they did fix but not before asking it by the phone and e-mail many, many times, they came after almost 4 months.

Meda-kuechen ordered the wrong dishwasher, I asked for one with a desk instead with one with a basket, while the negotiations for the pricing were about the desk, they wrote in the contract I would buy the one with the basket. I had to pay 200, - extra if I wanted to change, so I let it be.

I wish to express some mayor annoying overall experience about the issue that multiple calls were actually being ignored. With several calls the secretary told me I would be called back, and nobody did on the same day, and I shouldn't call back until they did. This not once but a few times after having the discussions above. Some problems where due me living in the Netherlands, so if you are from the Netherlands don’t buy your kitchen here. If you are from somewhere else, be alert to how they deal with problems.
